LED Phototherapy – How It Works
LED phototherapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate the skin’s natural repair and regeneration processes. When light energy is absorbed by cellular receptors,, it triggers biochemical reactions that increase ATP production (the energy source for cell function and renewal).
This process enhances cell metabolism, promotes collagen and elastin synthesis, accelerates wound healing and reduces inflammation. Different wavelengths target distinct layers of the skin:
Blue light (≈415 nm) acts on the skin’s surface to destroy acne-causing bacteria.
Red light (≈633 nm) penetrates into the dermis, stimulating fibroblasts and boosting collagen production for smoother, firmer skin.
Near-infrared light (≈830 nm) reaches deeper tissues, supporting circulation, tissue repair and recovery.
These effects are supported by clinical evidence published in peer-reviewed journals (PubMed), confirming the biological impact of LED wavelengths on skin cells, tissue regeneration and inflammation control.
Dermalux® Flex MD
The Dermalux Flex MD is a medically certified, professional-grade LED device that delivers these clinically proven wavelengths simultaneously or individually for tailored treatments. It is CE-marked and FDA-cleared, ensuring both safety and efficacy.
By combining blue, red and near-infrared light, the Flex MD targets acne, ageing, redness and wound healing, all without heat, trauma or downtime. Its flexible design allows treatment across the face and body, providing uniform light delivery and optimal absorption for consistent results.
Scientific research supports the mechanism behind its benefits: improved mitochondrial activity, enhanced cell repair and modulation of inflammatory pathways — translating into visibly healthier, clearer and rejuvenated skin.

DERMAPEN 4™
Microneedling – How It Works
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive dermatological procedure that stimulates the skin’s natural healing and regeneration mechanisms. Using ultra-fine needles, the treatment creates controlled micro-injuries across the skin’s surface, triggering a cascade of biological responses that activate fibroblasts and promote the synthesis of collagen and elastin — the key structural proteins responsible for skin firmness, elasticity and resilience.
This process, referred to as dermal biostimulation, enhances cellular turnover and fortifies the skin’s extracellular matrix, resulting in long-term improvements in tone, texture and overall skin health. The formation of microchannels also temporarily increases skin permeability, optimising the absorption and efficacy of active topical ingredients applied during or after treatment.
The Dermapen 4 is a clinically certified, medical-grade microneedling device designed to deliver precise and consistent results through advanced Oscillating Vertical Needle™ (AOVN™) technology. The device delivers up to 1,920 fine punctures per second with controlled depth and speed, ensuring precision and consistency across the treatment area while minimising epidermal trauma.
Its adjustable needle depth (ranging up to 3.0 mm) allows for tailored treatment of both superficial and deeper dermal concerns, including fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores and loss of elasticity. The Dermapen 4’s digital calibration and anti-contamination features ensure both safety and clinical-grade performance.
Through scientifically supported mechanisms of collagen remodelling, neovascularisation and dermal regeneration, treatments with the Dermapen 4 promote long-term enhancement of skin integrity and radiance, achieving smoother, firmer and more youthful-looking skin through the body’s own regenerative potential.

Our Approach to Skincare
At SKIIN, skincare products are carefully selected to support your skin’s repair and strengthen its natural barrier during and after treatments. Korean skincare alongside medical-grade and pharmaceutical-grade products form the core of what’s used, chosen for their gentle and effective formulations.
Most of our skincare products have zero to very mild scent. This is intentional, as strong fragrances can irritate or disrupt sensitive or compromised skin. After any procedure, the skin is delicate and focused on healing, so avoiding anything that might trigger inflammation or worsen existing conditions is essential.
For those who enjoy a sensory experience, soothing scents are introduced during the massage phase — usually involving the chest, shoulders and neck. Here, carefully selected oils and balms with luxurious scents enhance relaxation without affecting facial skin recovery.
Our products are suitable even for the most sensitive and reactive skin types, including those with active conditions (such as rosacea), ensuring your skin receives safe, nurturing and effective care.
Our Carefully Curated Skincare Brands
At SKIIN, we work with a thoughtfully curated selection of brands, ranging from pioneering Korean skincare to esteemed medical-grade and pharmaceutical products.
Each product is chosen with meticulous care, reflecting our commitment to efficacy and gentleness.
Our ongoing pursuit of excellence involves continually exploring and assessing new formulations to ensure they resonate with our values and uphold the highest standard of skin wellness.
