CONSULT & TREATMENT

Before, During & After

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT:

  • Before considering making an appointment, please be aware that our services are only available for women.

  • By making an appointment through this website, Instagram, email or through any of SKIIN's partners, you are automatically accepting these terms and conditions. Please read the terms and conditions carefully before proceeding with any booking or purchase.

PRE-TREATMENT CARE:

  • Inform the therapist about any skin concerns, allergies and/or health conditions (including pregnancy) that may affect the procedure.

  • Avoid sun exposure in the weeks leading up to your session.

  • Discontinue the use of irritating skincare products (such as vitamin C, chemical exfoliants, retinoids, etc.) at least 3–5 days before your session.

  • I recommend reviewing the terms and conditions before your appointment, including treatment contraindications and the delay and cancellation policies, to avoid any potential issues.

  • In the two weeks leading up to your appointment, including the day of your session, ensure you do not have any contraindications listed in the terms and conditions. If you do and still attend your appointment, your session could be cancelled and a fee of 50% of the scheduled treatment price will be charged.

ON THE DAY OF THE TREATMENT

In addition to the pre-treatment care guidelines, here are some important instructions to ensure a smooth and relaxing experience.

  • On the day of your appointment, I recommend wearing comfortable clothing and minimal (to no) makeup.

  • Planning your visit: Plan the trip to the studio in advance, considering potential delays due to traffic or parking. There is a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals, after which your appointment will be canceled. Any delay will shorten the duration of your treatment, regardless of the scheduled time.

  • Early arrival at the studio: I recommend that you arrive 5-10 minutes early to give yourself enough time to get ready for your appointment, such as getting undressed and settling in. This time will also allow us to analyse your skin and discuss treatment options.

  • Come ready to relax: All skin treatments include moments of relaxation. To fully enjoy your experience, try to schedule your appointment on a day when you’re not in a rush or have commitments immediately afterward. This way, you can truly unwind in a calm and uninterrupted environment.

AFTER THE TREATMENT (I)

(non-invasive treatments)

POST-TREATMENT CARE:

In the first 24 hours:

  • Avoid wearing makeup.

  • Avoid touching the treated area with unclean hands or objects.

  • Avoid exercise or any activity that causes sweating in the treated area.

In the first 48-72 hours:

  • Avoid sun exposure: Direct (when sunlight hits your skin directly) and indirect (such as reflections from water, glass, or windows) sun exposure should be avoided, as it increases the risk of hyperpigmentation (dark spots) after treatment.

  • Apply sunscreen daily: Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Apply it every day and reapply every two hours. The recommended amount is approximately the length of two fingers (index and middle) for the face or three fingers for the face and neck.

  • Keep your skincare routine simple – stick to the basics: a gentle cleanser, a nourishing and repair cream, sunscreen and any additional products recommended by the therapist.

  • If you use chemical exfoliants or retinoids, you may resume them 2–3 days after the session, depending on your skin’s condition.

  • Increase your water intake (recommended: 2L per day).

  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle (avoid smoking, alcohol consumption, and opt for a balanced diet).

  • Avoid any treatments on the treated area (face and/or neck) for at least 2–3 days post-procedure. This includes massages, peels, laser, botox, brow lamination, or any other cosmetic treatment.

ONGOING CARE: Some skincare habits should be part of your daily routine regardless of the treatment received. Daily use of broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), a skincare routine tailored to your skin and a healthy lifestyle are essential for protecting your skin, maintaining results and ensuring long-term skin health.
